ARTIST AND PAINTER
Gülseven was born in Cyprus – Paphos in 1950, her talent for painting was encouraged at the Kurtulus Lycee by Ali Atakan.
GÜLSEVEN BIOGRAPHY
Gülseven studied English Language and Literature at Hacettepe University before moving to England and a career in business for 26 years. During this period she also found time to develop her passion for art.
In 1994 Gülseven started painting again and has been educated in England, Italy and France in water colour and pastel techniques. Gülseven has worked with oil and acrylic painting alongside Güner Pir, Feridun Işiman and Emel Samioğlu. In recent years Gülseven has had many successful solo exhibitions and joint exhibitions, with her work being displayed in many private and public collections.
Gülseven says “Art is my world. It is never too late to realize your dreams. Initially I considered myself a lyrical spiritual and romantic landscape artist. In recent years I have become more passionate influenced by the magical undersea world which has inspired my current works & last exhibition for more abstract painting.”
